EDO COSTANTINI

Eduardo Francisco Costantini was born in Buenos Aires at 1976. Eduardo who signs as Edo, is a composer, photographer and filmmaker working out of the hamlets of Bedford Village, Bedford Hills and Katonah, New York.

A flower is not a flower is a photographic journey. An encounter with the sublime in nature. As the artist walks, voyages, meanders through his everyday landscape, he finds himself getting lost in the forest. Diving into an introspection. This daily stroll near his home in Katonah, New York, grows as an experience and an artistic practice, a reverie, an inimitable moment, an opportunity to witness greatness in the simple, to see the invisible and create new images. The series of photographs taken between his first sojourn to Woodstock in 2013 and now, within the framework of this methodical life, reflects on the measuring of oneself in time in an evolving world. Costantini, naturalist and ascetic, photographer and musician, and navigator, works under an imperative to record a world calling out for remembrance, from the threshold of oblivion. For a trace to be left, not forgotten.
