Park graduated from Seoul National University of Fine Art in 1960. Subsequently, he left Korea and spent 20 years living in and traveling through many different countries. His journey initially took him to Canada, Mexico, Tahiti, Tobago, Paraguay, Uruguay, Brazil, and Argentina, and was a search as much for the meaning of life as for artistic inspiration. During this time his art was exhibited in numerous museums and galleries throughout South America. Later, his restless wanderings led him into the Amazon and to Chile and Peru. In 1992, he returned to Korea, where he presented several exhibitions in Seoul and in Tokyo. He passed away in 1993.
