Julio Lavallén was born in Entre Ríos, Argentina, in 1957. He's a painter, engraver and sculptor, who since 1998 has exhibited regularly abroad, mainly in Madrid, Paris, Rome, New York and London. In 1989 he moved to Madrid, where he lived for ten years. In 1999 he returned to Buenos Aires, where he currently lives and works.
