Kenneth Kemble was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1923. In 1961, he held the exhibition ‘Destructive Art’, an experience which would pave the way to the Conceptualist movement in Argentina. Between 1960 and 1972 he worked as an art critic for the Buenos Aires Herald, as Director of the Museo de Lujan, and as a teacher. In 1994 he was awarded the Gran Premio de Honor del Salon de Artes Plasticas.

About life and art, in his own words: “The leftovers of Society are converted into powerful tools with which to question modern rationality. To live is to make love. Those who pick up an old train ticket, who cut out a newspaper without reading it, those are the ones who make love with life. The rest, just eat”.
